Summary of job role and place in organization

3D Modeling Furniture Design Quality Expert is responsible for improving the quality of 3D models/renders by research on creating realistic and aesthetic product models and renders with support of European Tone of Voice guideline, trend and visual identity from Marketing Design Team.

To do so, he/she shall take market design as one – single source, conduct deep and insightful research to detail the guideline, aggregates the demand from product development department to carry out various criteria (quality standard, realistic details, texture, color and lighting, etc), meanwhile he/she shall also pilot on 3D models/renders creation same as designers.

This position reports to the Design Quality Leader.

Responsibilities/core tasks

· Create the 3D models/renders that both meet high quality standards, realistic details, texture, color and lighting, while still keeping the polygon count low, incl:

Ø 3D modeling, WBG rendering, mood image rendering

· Constant study and research on the Tone of Voice, vidaxl visual identity database and tools from Marketing Design Team, creates and implements the up to date criteria (quality standard, realistic details, texture, color and lighting, etc) that is configure to Design Operation Team.

· Support and nurture the Design Operation Team through coaching on style/techniques

Ø Comprehend the styling sheet with demo/explanation and support its team with guideline regard European Tone of voice/interior styles inspiring to customers

Ø Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to lighting and rendering, including optimizing rendering times and improve quality

· Getting feedback on the implementation and making constant improvement based on the output measurement from Marketing Design Team (eg: AB test).

· Assist in Project including Tone of Voice guideline maintenance, Design software/system Upgrading (e.g: Rendering Time), Future Innovative Project.

· Support Design Quality Leader on other quality relevant tasks

Competences (knowledge, skills and working experience)

Knowledge

· Knowledge about lighting principles, color theory, and composition.

· Knowledge about interior style/trends

· Knowledge about European TOV

Hard Skills

· Ability to operate Microsoft Office

· Ability to operate software incl. Microsoft Office, 3ds max, Photoshop, V-ray, MD (optional) etc.

· Research ability

Ø Ability to conduct deep and insightful research, from both online and offline resources on 3D models, rendering process, design process, market trends and product styles

· Communication skills

Ø Ability to communicate in oral or written English

Ø Ability to coach Design Operation Team by imparting and illuminating European Tone of Voice, techniques, etc

· Planning and Organising

Ø Ability to develop, frame the plan systematically and execute with clear scheme on both high level plans and daily work

Ø Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Working Experience

· At least 2-year experience in the field
