- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for electric propulsion systems used in 2-wheeler electric vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with a team of engineers to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems.
- Handle shaft design, cast design and bearing selection
- Create and review design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform structural analysis and thermal analysis to ensure that designs meet performance and safety requirements.
- Participate in testing and validation of propulsion systems and components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective.
- Continuously improve existing designs and processes based on feedback and results
- Experience with electric motors and motor controllers.
- Experience with battery pack design and thermal management.
- Knowledge of electric vehicle power electronics and systems.
- Experience with vehicle dynamics and control. 5. Experience with systems engineering principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials science.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA. 8. Experience with structural analysis and thermal analysis software such as ANSYS or Abaqus. Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and additive manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Mtech/PhD degree is much needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design for electric propulsion systems in the automotive industry
