assistant general manager - procurement in mumbai

We are currently hiring Assistant General Manager who will focus on all logistical and procurement verticals of the business, vendor/supplier generation, negotiations and management, coordination for special projects and local liaising for multiple project locations

Purchase / Procurement
  • Ensure that procurement of all materials are done at the lowest possible cost, with the highest quality in the least possible time.
  • Create and ensure implementation of systems and processes to guarantee cost and timeline efficiencies – including vendor empanelment practices, tendering practices, ordering practices, negotiation practices, inventory management practices, logistics practices etc.
  • Manage all purchase issues
  • Run an efficient inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with all Purchase & Admin personnel, Data personnel, Contractors, Vendors, etc.
  • Generate systems and processes for existing vendors / suppliers and miscellaneous contractors work orders.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Ensure delivery of goods to the correct site in the cheapest and most timely manner.
  • Assist in the arrangement of the warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.
  • Ensure minimum expenses with adequate planning of movement of goods.
  • Ensure no goods are lost in transit, damaged etc.
  • Procurement of necessary insurance for required items.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Generate a network of transport logistic operators and packers for movement of material.
Commercial/ Risk/ Others :
  • Day-to-day oversight of the strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems.
  • Ensure effective cash management.
  • Assist, oversee and manage on ground logistics for events with various vendors / suppliers.
  • Organizing and overseeing Insurance to ensure zero loss due to damage or theft or loss
  • Create, own and operate all systems to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Oversee daily operations and the work closely with Executives, Managers and Heads (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Purchase, & Admin
  • along with Architects, Designers, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with partners, contractors and vendors.
  • Plan and coordinate the financial and business annual budget process which is to be relevant to all operational and administrative aspects of the organization.
  • Ensure a strong budgeting and reporting system.
  • Work on continuously improving systems, technology, communication practices, vendors / contractor search and empanelment practices etc. to ensure decreasing costs, highest quality and timely delivery for construction, purchase, inventory, logistics operations maintenance, housekeeping, hospitality and admin operations.
