Jira Platform Developer, IT Platform Automation As a Jira Platform Developer, you will join the global Cloud Software Group IT team in the development, management, and direct user support of Jira platform. The Jira platform is the cornerstone of Cloud Software Group’s business operations designed to be the hub of the platform services ecosystem and a one-stop shop for all Cloud Software Groups employees and beyond. As a member of the platform automation team, you will bring your knowledge and ideas to the table to help design and implement forward-looking solutions, create exceptional end user experience and integrate new services. Responsibilities: ● Build custom solutions using Atlassian Plugin SDK and other technologies ● Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application failures and performance issues ● Support and maintain existing Jira Service Management application ● Design and implement new processes based on customer requirements ● Participate in platform vision development and continuous improvement by leveraging the latest industry knowledge and recommending design improvements ● Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies ● Contribute to the internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies Qualifications: ● Extensive experience deploying, configuring, administering, and supporting Atlassian Jira and Jira Service Management (formerly Jira Service Desk) ● Solid understanding of the Jira back-end architecture ● Proven record of experience building extensions for Atlassian platform using Atlassian Plugin SDK ● Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one scripting language (Groovy, Python, etc.) ● Working knowledge of SQL ● Strong focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail in your work ● Desire and ability to learn new technologies and provide mentorship for more junior members of the team ● Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and manage competing priorities ● Experience working with Insight, Insight Discovery, and ScriptRunner apps is preferred ● Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is desirable ● U.S. Bachelor or higher degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, or a closely related field of study.
