• Build and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes
• Implement an auto-scaling system for Kubernetes nodes
• Responsible for overall Kubernetes setup, configuration, and Architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Kubernetes environment.
• Ensure proper operational aspects including monitoring, reporting, and backup
for both hosts and associated images and containers.
• Help develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation in
support of Kubernetes.
• Work with development teams to understand capacity and performance
requirements & Define a deployment solution using container orchestration
tools to ensure a scalable and highly available solution.
• Identify Security Vulnerabilities & work with the team to implement the security
fixes• Drive cost and security governance initiatives across projects.
• Drive Major incident management till resolution, own communication, and
coordinate with Stakeholders
• Own and execute high-impact changes as well as Critical incidents.
• Review and update of Project specific documentation
Required Technical Skills and Experience
• More than 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and Cloud Operations.
• Minimum of 5+ years in Azure Cloud Operations
• Experience in setting up various Azure services such as VM, VNET, NSG, Storage,
VPN, Load Balancers, auto-scaling, availability set, AKS/ACS, Backup & Recovery,
etc.
• At least two years of experience with Kubernetes deployment technologies with
hands-on experience on the command line interface.
• Experience in creating and managing production scale Kubernetes clusters, Deep
understanding of Kubernetes networking
• Support our Kubernetes-based projects to resolve critical and complex technical
issues
• Performing application deployments on the Kubernetes cluster
• Securely managing Kubernetes Cluster on at least one of the cloud providers
(AWS, Azure or GCP cloud), preferably on Azure
• Managing Kubernetes secrets
• Managing Kubernetes storages (PV, PVC, Storage Classes, Provisioners)
• Kubernetes Networking ( Services, Endpoints, DNS, LoadBalancers)
• Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting for Kubernetes cluster using
open source monitoring tools like Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Good experience in handling Azure PaaS such as Azure SQL, Web Apps, WAF,
etc.
• Experience in implementing Azure best practices implementation, reviewing
gaps in the environment and driving performance fine-tuning initiatives.
• Experience in Designing virtual networks to support workloads with the highest
security and performance.
