The Cognos Developer will have responsibility for the development, testing, and deployment of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards in support of the RealPage Unified Reporting Platform (URP) product suite. Responsibilities include active engagement and coordination with the U.S. and India Cognos BI development team as well as support of any Cognos technical questions or issues as they arise. The successful candidate will work closely with other BI Developers and Quality Analysts to ensure the business requirements for reporting are met or exceeded. This position will report to the Sr Manager Engineering. Responsibilities:Demonstrated technical knowledge of Cognos Report Studio and Cognos Business Insight (11 plus) and SQL.Development and testing of Business Intelligence reports using the Cognos BI suiteEnsure the Business Intelligence Reports that are deployed meet or exceed the documented business requirementsRegular communications with management to communicate status on reports and testingAssist in technical documentation of all reports created for the RealPage URP suiteEnsure that BI standards, templates, and processes are being followed in the development and testing of reportsGood to have Cognos Framework Modelling and Administration experience.Required Skills:Ability to perform in a team environment and in Agile methodology.Good communication skills5-7 plus years strong technology implementation experience with at least three years in multiple full lifecycle BI/DW implementations5 years demonstrated experience in complex application development projects involving Cognos (Report Studio, Business Insight Advanced, Business Insight, multi-dimensional Power Cubes) and Microsoft SQL RDBMS on Windows.Analytics application experience such as Sales, Marketing, Financial, CRM or Other is a plus
