job description

� Support Analyzing category spend data to find opportunities for cost reduction, eg. Supplier consolidation, specification rationalization, variant reduction, low cost country sourcing etc and support GCM�s to execute the purchasing process
� Participate in category strategy development � support Global Category Manager in developing the category strategies
� Support supplier selection: Collaborate with Global Category Manager in defining the optimal supplier selection process, considering supply market specifics. Screen and select suppliers in close cooperation with Global Category Manager & Global senior Category Buyer (in case Global Senior category Buyer exists for the concerned country/ continent). Develop negotiation strategy. Participate in/ lead fact based negotiations (when delegated)
� Support supplier induction and the supplier exit/ switch processes. Define contract implementation plan and apply/ develop supplier performance evaluation model, tracking KPIs. Work in close collaboration with Bus to secure local acceptance of new contracts
� Coordinate with quality/production departments with respect to improvements of quality of incoming material
� Support Supplier Relationship Managements for delegated suppliers , initiate supplier development activities. Support joint cost workshops. Facilitate innovation and continuous improvement workshops
� Drive supplier performance in all QCDIM aspects as well as CSR & responsible sourcing requirements & propose to Global category Manager any step leading to improvement of suppliers

?Support the management of purchasing categories by defining category strategies, supporting the drive of strategic sourcing projects, implementing and following up results. Support the work of securing long term development of the supplier base through supplier relationship management and supplier development programs
