?Supports Sourcing and Procurement Managers in generating situation assessments for externally procured raw
materials, indirect materials and a variety of services.
? Typical studies include:
? Determining the size, complexity and segmentataion of assigned supply markets
? Creating supplier profiles to support relationship management and negotiations.
? Develops assessments and positions based on industry structures (e.g. SWOT, Porters 5 Forces, SCP assessments,
? Develops price setting mechanisms within a given market (e.g. cost curves, market reference)
? Conducts research on economic trends in key supply markets, analyzes/manages spend data, and prepares monthly
status reports
? Supports the Sourcing Manager in drawing conclusions and implications to the sourcing process from analysis and
? Supports Sourcing and Procurement managers with generation of options and potential value through analysis of the
fact base and understanding of the market

?Analysis of current and historical spend levels for an assigned category
? Analysis of incumbent supplier performance against established performance metrics
? Build value chain analysis and develop the price setting mechanisms (cost curve, indices, etc) for a given market
? Generate total cost of ownership (TCO) and should cost models
? Support the Sourcing Manager by executing research projects through
? Pull pre-existing studies from the relevant Fact Base
? Evaluate potential research methodologies for gathering particular types of data
? Assemble the research data into established templates
? Assist with the creation of compelling, insightful final reports that along with summarizing the key learnings, provide
results of the initial analyses and extracts and communicates insights
? Ensure results are well documented and stored in the relevant fact base
? Develop historical spend profiles for assigned categories
? Assist in development of implementation metrics
? Cultivate and maintain a network of secondary and industry resources to expedite knowledge base development

? Develop in-depth knowledge of target markets. Specific industry knowledge is not required, but the ability to quickly
develop acumen in these spaces is essential

Proven hands on secondary research, analyses and reporting
? Proven ability to conduct detailed searches using a variety of public and private research tools
? Proven ability to triangulate information from multiple sources to draw conclusions
? Ability to develop financial models for total cost of ownership, value chains, should cost, etc.
? Proven track record with demonstrated results of inspiring action from insights leading to significant savings
? Experience networking across large, matrixed organizations preferred
? Strong attention to detail to ensure high quality, accurate results
? Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
? Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple, competing priorities
? Self-starter able to operate with minimal supervision and a strong ability to drive to results
? Strong organizational skills
? Microsoft Productivity Suite (including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Sharepoint)
? Advanced Excel Skills including the use of pivot tables and PowerBI
? Use of databases
