 Responsibilities and Scope:

This role resides in the Commercial Analytics team and supports the Global Commercial Operations organization.  He or she will develop systems to collect, analyze, visualize data and use it to report daily, weekly, monthly and yearly measurements of business performance.  He or she will develop and execute data mining, statistical analyses and data modeling to align analytics solution with the business strategies. The primary objective for this position is to create information, tools and resources that will provide a competitive advantage for Terex. The position would require working closely with cross functional team members across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a key participant and provide analytics supports in projects related to commercial excellence process improvements for the Global Commercial Operations organization to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide expertise in mathematical modeling, statistics, or other quantitative techniques to develop and make strategic business decision recommendations.
  • Develop analytical solutions and key metrics around Commercial excellence, pricing, Demand & Forecasting and Marketing Operations process improvements
  • Support the development and execution of predictive analytics roadmap to improve Sales Executions and productivity
  • Work with functional teams and users to support the implementation and execution of proposed solutions and toolsets. This will include creating appropriate training and support materials for end users as well as maintenance of the solution tools.
  • Interface and share best practices.

  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to work independently as well as in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with business requirement gathering methods. Experience working with Scrum methodology is preferred.
    • Good programming and data management skills (VBA, databases, SQL) as well as business management and personal productivity applications (e.g., MS Office)
    • Advanced level MS Excel with strong mathematical and analytic skills.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with mining data from Relational Database Management System. Familiarity with Oracle SQL is preferred.
    • Familiar with the use of optimization, simulation, and statistical analysis software applications (R, Python).
    • 1-2 years of experience with BI Analytics tools such as Tableau/Qlik. Experience with Qlikview dashboards development is preferred.
    • Independent learner with a strong interest in broadening the competencies of the organization as well as extending his/her personal knowledge.
    • Strong analytical skills are required.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment.
    • Strong communication skills with experience with communicating across all levels of organization


  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering)
