?The Compensation Center of Expertise has responsibility for the design and management of Eastman's strategic compensation programs that attract, develop, reward and retain the talent needed to deliver Eastman business results. The senior compensation analyst is a key business partner to the global HR function and responsible for successfully managing relationships while providing compensation support and guidance to various business & functional units. This position partners with HR managers and leaders to understand business strategy and key drivers to appropriately align compensation programs, while providing line of sight to global consistency where necessary.

?JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Acts as subject matter expert, consultant and advisor to HR Business Partners focusing on broad-based compensation programs related to base pay, variable incentive pay and rewards and recognition. This expertise will include a deep understanding of pay for performance principles and philosophies. Accountabilities will include the conceptual design and application of pay-for-performance philosophy.
� Manages compensation programs from design to implementation. Understands and analyzes compensation data and ensures key plan features are in alignment with business strategy and are competitive and affordable.
� Develops and maintains confidence in compensation structures and solutions that enable the company to successfully compete in the labor marketplace. This requires the understanding of the external market influences as well as the internal job and business structure of Eastman.
� Develops education and change management plans to ensure HR partners are equipped to empower leaders to effectively leverage the compensation programs to achieve their goals. Interacts with Regional Human Resource groups to determine global applicability of new or changing compensation processes and addresses implementation details by country or region.
� Ensures plans and processes are well documented and communicated. Understands country, federal, state government regulations and laws to ensure appropriate governance and compliance.


Qualifications

� Bachelor�s Degree in a Business or Human Resource discipline from an accredited educational institution.
� Three or more years of progressive compensation or financial experience is required.
� Desired Experience: Understanding of business/sales strategies and plans, experience in analyzing data (financial/numerical in nature) and visualizing patterns or similarities to form general rules or conclusions, ability to maintain objective perspective in order to provide appropriate compensation solutions.
� Results Oriented: Must be a proven performer with high initiative and analytical skills. Must be able to generate highly accurate and credible results and balance competing priorities. Must take responsibility for learning and becoming "expert" in assigned area of compensation and managing assigned processes.
� Technical Skills: Ability to solve complex problems using problem solving methodologies and data analysis tools. Must have strong technical number manipulation skills and have expertise in complex spreadsheets and other data/information systems (i.e. SAP, Excel, etc.)
� Project Management: Skilled at project management including the ability to prioritize, develop project plans, collaborate across different functional groups, implement solutions and complete objectives in a timely fashion.
� Communication: Must be able to network between the various functions and levels of management, communicate persuasively and have the ability to deliver a disciplined message when required. Must be willing to challenge appropriately and engage in candid conversations at all levels.
� Influencing skills: Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.
� Leadership skills: Demonstrates leadership and vision in managing teams, projects or processes.
