s the responsibility of designing, configuring, and executing the tasks assigned to him/her on warehouse design of different Merck warehouse across the globe. This position will have the ability to clearly understand the business requirements and our SAP ecosystem.
A high degree of passion for customer-centricity is a must for this position. A strong understanding of SAP core technologies and the ability to work with peers in this area is a must for this position.
Job Functions:
1. Capture, Understand, and Review the current Merck Warehouse Processes
2. Work in Designing, Building, and Developing the SAP WM ecosystem to support all functions of business in supply chain logistics execution as per the overall strategy set by the management.
3. Good working knowledge and expertise in the area or ERP Distribution & Logistics.
4. Good knowledge of the integration of WM with other SAP modules viz., SAP MM/IM, SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP QM, etc.
5. Coordinate with Merck Business and Business Facing IT across the globe to capture the warehouse distribution requirements for the current SAP Project.
6. Proven ability to understand the business processes of the organization and the core application environments.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Good to have:
1. Good know-how on SAP EWM
2. ABAP Debugging skills
Basic Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Master or special certification preferred in area SAP related areas and supply chain functions ExperienceExperience:
- Minimum of 5+ Years' experience in a progressive responsibility expanding capability with a focus on the area of warehouse management and execution function in an environment supporting SAP ecosystem.
- Life science business experience is a definite plus for this position.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of IT Organization.
- Ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Must have at least 3 years of working on warehouse operations running on SAP WM
2. Must have experience working on an SAP WM and/or SAP LE system.
3. Tactical Thinking and the ability to execute successfully
4. Wide degree of functional skills and creativity is expected
5. Must understand the warehouse and shipping needs of a chemical company.
6. Good Problem Solving and Communication skills.
