• Understand the category and business nuances to meaningfully contribute through research
findings and interpretations
• Identify the most salient opportunities and threats, as well as emerging through qualitative
and quantitative research
• Understand the commercial objectives of the cluster by crop and product class and identify
barriers and enablers for these objectives.
• Communicate the insights to the whole organization in an easily understandable way for
enabling decision making
• Drive efficiency in the data collection, analysis and synthesis
• Question and prioritize the business data and analyses that are most critical for decision
making
• Understand and prioritize the market research objectives and finalize the study scope
making the brief in agreement with the requisite stakeholder
• Discuss results of market research studies with Marketing and Sales and incorporate study
conclusions in developing Product Positioning strategies and increasing effectiveness of
promotional spending.
• Use latest Market Research techniques to increase effectiveness of our Promotional spends
and Brand Design & Positioning.
• Support Pricing Excellence initiatives with relevant researches
• Execute annual exercises such as Commodity prices update and any other periodic data as
per business needs.
• Work with the regional teams on various data modelling initiatives from time to time
• Work with crop managers to identify market forecast for regional reporting
• Prepare reports of previous year market movements and BCS crop-wise sales
• Supporting teams in preparation of a questionnaire for internally executed surveys
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• MBA from Tier 1/2 college with experience in Research Agencies
• ~10 years of experience in consumer durable/FMCG/Agri research with a skew towards
qualitative research
• Graduation in Agri will be an added advantage
• Strong English communication (presentation, written, and listening) skills (Must)
• Enjoys collaboration and the ability to work within diverse organizations and teams
• Ability to influence how decisions are made through consumer led research
• Shown success at deriving insight from data/conversations and successfully communicating
those insights to drive action
• Will have to travel around 20-25% of working time
