Warehouse Operations and Optimization

  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process mapping, analysis, and implementation of best practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service levels.
  • Technology Integration: Champion the effective utilization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and other supply chain technologies to enhance visibility, accuracy, and overall warehouse performance.
  • SOP Development: Develop, implement, and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities to ensure consistency and quality across all sites.

Leadership and Team Handling

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to a large team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and operational staff.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate team members. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, continuous learning, and high engagement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the warehouse function and other departments, including Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Procurement, to ensure seamless execution of the end-to-end supply chain.

Compliance, Safety, and Inventory

  • Inventory Accuracy: Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle count programs, physical inventory checks, and effective management of slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  • Compliance: Guarantee strict adherence to all local, national, and company regulations related to warehousing, transportation, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies, particularly concerning product damage, security, and spoilage typical in the FMCG environment.

Budget and Performance Management

  • Budget Management: Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual warehousing budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and capital investment in infrastructure or technology.
