deputy manager purchase in chennai

Client is a reputed SME in Engineering industry. Job title: Deputy Manager Purchase Responsibilities: ) Handle purchasing of required components from domestic and international supplier base.

2) Lead a team of buyers to ensure availability of parts / components as per the production plan.

3) Follow-up & co-ordinate for shipments with vendors, freight forwarders & CHA.

4) Identify cost saving projects with the help of sourcing team and get those implemented with suppliers.

5) Drive inventory reduction actions and improve Inventory Turns for the business by working closely with Purchase, Planning & Sourcing teams.

6) Analyze purchasing trends and work closely with buyers / purchase team to plan purchases.

7) Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities for improvement and drive required actions to reduce inventory.

8) Work with planner / buyers to better manage stocking and usage of material and inventory. Qualification: Preferrably a BE candidate with 6+ years of experience in Materials / Purchase function in Medium to High Mix - Medium Volume production environment
