Senior Director manages administrative functions of the University Institute of Legal Studies. Develops the Institute’s strategic initiatives and participates in the university’s long-term planning and policy setting. Provides senior-level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resources, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and Management. Additionally, reports to top management. The Senior Director of Law manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-departments and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
Qualification and Skills:
- PhD, Doctoral Qualification or Professorship with exp of 15 years+
- Outstanding legal academic credentials, including legal publications;
- Administrative and intellectual leadership;
- Ability and commitment to integrate and advance the University’s core values, mission, and vision into the operation and planning of the University Institute of Legal Studies
- Strong business acumen and experience managing large budgets:
- A record of involvement with, and understanding of, the national legal education system;
- Expertise in legal education, understanding of pedagogy, and commitment to experiential education;
- Demonstrated ability to innovate academic programs and organizations for increased effectiveness and responsiveness within a changing environment
