Job Opportunity with Computers and Electronics Manufacturing Company Position: Engineering Manager Qualification: BE/B.Tech ECE/Instrumentation Location: Pithampur, MP, India Years of Experience 10+ years Reporting to: Plant Manager Department: Supply Chain Please note (6 days working) Objective/ Purpose Working with the management team, the Engineering Manager will define and develop engineering management systems, processes, and disciplines; and build and lead a highly capable, flexible, and high performing engineering team that delivers engineering outputs that meet the highest global standards; in alignment with company value proposition and strategy. Key Accountabilities Define and develop Engineering Management System for company in accordance with world best practice, tools, and methods, to maintain product compliance Ownership of Product Industrialization Process and ensuring that all production validation processes are adhered to before incorporating into mainstream production. Implement Engineering Design Approval and Change Management System across all operations activities, in accordance with company policies Lead new product development, modification and configuration change of products while ensuring conformance with engineering design standards and published internal and external performance specifications. Lead the Engineering Teams in India and manage the scheduling, delegation, production, timely delivery, and quality of all engineering outputs, in accordance with priorities set from time to time by management. Efficient and effective management of company owned technical document and data, in strict compliance with company requirements, and including preparation and release to external parties under delegated authority Provide technical support for material sourcing, supplier qualification and procurement with relevant operations teams and departments Provide oversight and technical support to production operations in construction of developed systems Produce accurate and timely reports as required by management Any other duties that may be reasonably allocated by manager from time to time Team Development: To recruit staff in line with company guidelines with the assistance of HR & Plant Manager. Engage in professional development of self and teams by means of personal desktop research, training, and by formal training where required to the extent necessary to sustain expert user status for the nominated engineering software, products & systems Set objectives, monitor performance levels of the team, identify areas for improvement & address as required. Qualifications & Experience ● Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Masters’ qualification will be highly regarded.● Min 10 years’ experience in a Design or Manufacturing Environment preferably within scientific instrumentation industry● Working knowledge & familiarity with technical codes, standards, and specifications● Experienced leading teams of engineers● Demonstrated systematic problem-solving capabilities, using proven methodologies● Experience leading change management in a technical environment SKILLS● Ability to work with and influence and lead others in a dynamic manufacturing environment● Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving and analytical skills● Strong relationship management, program management, and critical thinking skills● Proficient in technical documentation preparation .Working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, DFA, PCP, ECN, PFMEA, 8D/RCA, Fishbone, DMAIC Processes & Tools
