The Field Service Engineer (FSE) role is the front-line technical support representative and is responsible for providing solution-oriented , technical support and troubleshooting at customer site, at every stage of contact on each technical support interaction in the field. The person performing this role is results oriented, operates with a sense of urgency and sets priorities in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer


The person performing this role provides repair, installation, troubleshooting, and/or general support for equipment installed at customer facilities and is attentive to the after-service paperwork necessary to update the planners and administration


This position requires someone who is a self-starter, with the ability to deliver a customer experience, while working remotely without direct supervision and able to travel within their assigned geographic area on short-notice.



Main responsibilities

  • Servicing both Industry and Clinical, installed base (IB)
  • Review work order tasks and descriptions with customer, and agree on a work plan
  • Contact the planner/dispatcher with arrival time if outside of expected window
  • Confirm reception and update work orders with the planner/dispatcher
  • Executing service work orders
  • Technical documenting and reporting
  • Keep stakeholders informed/updated
  • Communicating with and briefing the customer, keeping them updated at all times
  • Process hours/expenses
  • Create sales and service sales leads and opportunities and promote service products and solutions
  • Provide remote phone and E-Service Support
  • Identify sales opportunities
  • Managing the customer experience, and responsible for owning their own customer IB
