The individual in this position is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the India Accounting team.
This role will be responsible for managing the monthly closing of the India entity, reporting financial results, assisting with the execution of the company’s year-end audit and tax returns, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor and employee expense processing.
This role will be responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting and Global Controller to scale the India operations for the Accounting department to ensure capacity for future growth. The individual will develop, implement, and maintain accounting practices and procedures to help ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial results.
Finally, this position requires someone with strong expertise and experience with India GAAP and process improvement in a global environment, and someone with the ability to prioritize and delegate duties, as needed, to meet departmental goals.
Job Duties
1. Guide a team of 6-7 direct staff.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
3. Support the US Accounting and Finance teams in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
4. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
5. Assist in the preparation and keeps the records of annual audits and tax returns.
6. Collaborate with other departments, including Operations, Technology and Human Resources, to ensure smooth financial operations.
7. Work closely with outside entities such as auditors and tax consultants.
Education, Experience and Skills
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
2. 7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
3.Experience working in an offshore capacity.
4.Eight (8) or more combined years of progressively responsible experience on a global accounting team.
5.Direct supervisory responsibilities on an accounting team including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations and promotional recommendations.
6.Proficient in monthly closing experience, including international entities.

3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
