Role: Finance Systems Analyst

Reporting to : Head of system

Location : Mumbai

Qualifications / Experience :

- Minimum 5-year experience in systems analyst or systems accounting role

- Effective written and oral communications skills

- Professional services background preferable

- Prior experience of at least 2 years working with SAP Business ByDesign, preferably performing system configuration

- Proven history of implementing process improvements

- Experience in providing support to finance and non-finance staff

- Proficient in Excel and prior experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred)

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

- High attention to detail and responsiveness to customer queries

Position summary :

The Finance Systems Analyst will collaborate with and support the global systems and finance teams in designing, configuring, and maintaining company's core financial systems (including SAP Business ByDesign and SAP Concur).

 

This role will require interaction with users of the core systems to help define and document requirements and translate these into technical specifications prior to being able to configure the solutions for implementation.

 

The role will also be required to collaborate with other systems resources for joint efforts on administration and configuration responsibilities, but also with end-users for training and support.

Responsibilities :

- Maintaining core Finance solutions (SAP Business ByDesign, Concur & potentially learn administration of others) ensuring New entities are managed and created across all systems

- Executing required system administration tasks in alignment with necessary Month-end processes

- Analysing the core financial system's requirements arising from evolving business requirements and change requests

- Compiling Technical Specification documents for the relevant changes to conversions, interfaces, reports, enhancements, or forms

- Making configuration changes while following our change request process

- Assisting in the design of processes involving the core financial systems

- Undertake or support all forms of testing (unit, integration and help manage users through user acceptance testing)

- Following required SDLC processes such that any changes applied to production are held to a high standard, via adequate design, testing and approval

- Assisting in the promotion of configuration and level-zero Master Data changes to production

- Ensure any changes to systems are communicated to applicable stakeholders

- Providing appropriate training and training-related documentation to end-users

- Testing new functionality and upgrades in line with upgrade plans

- Assisting end-users with the creation of reusable and repeatable reports utilizing the financial systems to deliver these

- Assist with documentation of processes and procedures as needed

- Supporting end-users with issues and queries relating to the systems and processes
