Key Accountabilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate all rigging activities, including the movement of heavy equipment,
machinery, and components within the shipyard.
2. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for rigging teams,
including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe rigging
practices.
3. Lead and manage a team of riggers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal
performance and productivity.
4. Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of rigging equipment, such as cranes, hoists,
slings, and shackles, to ensure they are in safe working condition.
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop work plans,
schedules, and budgets for rigging operations.
6. Ensure that rigging activities meet quality standards and specifications, conducting inspections
and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
