?The General Manager should focus on the following deliverables:
Responsibilities Duties & Activities

Profitability

? Maximize the Sales for the Dealership by strategizing, planning and
executing the same for all outlets.
? Identifies growth opportunities for the dealership and strives to build
competitive advantage in areas like Channel Reach, Rural, Exchange
Business, Accessories etc. Aligns the Dealership Operations to the
principles laid down by OEM and takes appropriate actions in case of
gaps.
? Analyses the performance of the different sources of enquiries. (Walk-
ins, Activations, Digital etc.) and takes corrective measures.
? Monitors the financials of the Dealership to ensure that the Dealership
is profitable. Identifies opportunities to reduce cost for the Dealership
and enhance the overall profitability.

? Follows the trends in the industry and consumer behaviours and uses
the information to the benefit of the Dealership.
? Seeks business/market/industry relevant information from a wide
variety of sources - competition, customers, news and employees.
Keenly observes the changes in customer behaviours and needs and
appropriately makes changes to the business processes.

Customer Focus ? Aligns the sales processes (Dealer Website, Dealer Facility, Dealer
Personnel, Deal, Paperwork and Delivery Process) and ensures
adherence to the same to deliver differentiated Customer Experience
and achievement of higher SSI Score.
? Conduct a Root Cause Analysis and ABC Analysis to identify the root
causes impacting the Sales Process and Customer Experience. Conducts
"Why - Why" analysis to eradicate root cause of customer concerns.
Creates an effective Composite Action Plan to ensure that gaps in the
Sales Process are addressed, stakeholders are aligned, and resources
are made available.
? Interacts with customers in case of escalations, concerns, exceptions,
bulk orders and in case of high profile customers and ensures that
procedures are in place so that such escalations do not reoccur
? Creates an ecosystem at the Dealership Showroom and outlets,
wherein all employees of the Customer Team go out of their way to
deliver a differentiated customer experience.
? Stays updated with customer related knowledge like changing needs
and priorities of different segments of customers.

Team
Management

? Identifies the workforce requirements in line with the Strategic Focus
Areas and Business Plan, sources candidates through internal and
external sources. Maintains a healthy manpower pipeline keeping in
mind the current and future business needs.
? Guides, mentors, motivates and leads the team to achieve and exceed
the sales targets and provides support during crisis situations. Creates
a conducive and empowered environment for working at the
dealership.
? Arranges for necessary training & development of the team after
identifying needs in partnership with Dronacharya and recognizes and
rewards commendable performance
? Identifies talented individuals in the team, takes measures to retain
them and develop their careers in the Dealership. Ensures that the
Dealership Manpower is skilled for their role by leveraging classroom
trainings, OTJ Trainings and online trainings.

? Identifies the performance metrics key to the Dealership and enables

Knowledge ? Qualification

o Graduate( Technical/Non-Technical)/ MBA
o Sales & Marketing qualification is desirable
? Experience
o At least 10 years of experience in Sales and at least 5 to 6
years in a Managerial role
o Experience in heading a small to medium business
organization
o Auto industry exposure is required for this Role.

Skills ? Strategic Business Orientation: Ability to leverage knowledge of
customer profiles, potential of various channels and other business
enablers to maximize the business results.
? Customer Centricity: Ability to identify ways to deliver a
differentiated customer experience.
? Execution Excellence: Eye for detail to identify any gaps in process
and quality. Effective planning to identify resources required to
attain the strategic objectives

Business Plan Achievement, Customer Satisfaction TB Scores, SSI Index,
ETBR Ratio, Conversion Rations, Manpower Productivity, Percentage
Trained Manpower etc. Reviews the various parameters on a regular
basis and takes corrective action.
? Identifies the benchmark scores, monitors deviations from the
benchmark scores and identifies the reasons behind the gaps/shortfall
and takes corrective action.
? Collaborates with the OEM for vehicle ordering, finance, incentive
schemes, activities and any other conflicts
? Liaises with financial institutions, insurance, RTO and allied businesses
