head- boiler maintenance in bhubaneswar

Main Role & Responsibility: - 

  • Responsible for leading the boiler maintenance team and business Partner to maintain equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner.

  • Responsible for implementing maintenance philosophy including supervision of the predictive, preventive, breakdown, and condition-based maintenance of boilers & associated auxiliaries.

  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and analysing boiler tube leakages & reduce/benchmark BTL with best industry standards.

  • Responsible for ensuring availability of all equipment of boiler area, develop mechanism to minimise the maintenance cost.

  • Responsible for spares parts planning, inventory management and vendor development.

  • Responsible for benchmarking industry best practices & its implementation. Take initiative for implementation of improvement/modification to improve Equipment availability, Boiler efficiency, APC etc. 

  • Responsible for preparation of contract documents for work in the scope of Boiler maintenance and contract management including KPIs.

  • Responsible for the preparation of maintenance budget & rolling plans.

  • Responsible for coordinating with plant operations department for plant-related jobs.

  • Responsible for renewal of Boiler License, statutory inspections of lifting tackles and pressure vessels.

  • Responsible for extending right support for implementing Safety, Security & other procedures at sites. 

  • Responsible for preparing SMP, MIS & monthly reports etc.

Basic Requirements including Special Skills: - 

  • Must have good Leadership and communication skills and worked in a power plant for similar capacity. Must have experience of working in Power Plants of 500MW and above capacity of BHEL design.

  • Must have adequate knowledge of Boiler Pressure Parts maintenance, tube metallurgy, welding practices including maintenance of equipment like PA/FD/ID Fans, APHs, Bowl mills and ESPs.

  • Must have knowledge of carrying out PM/CM/BD including condition-based maintenance in SAP environment.

  • Must have knowledge of quality management requirement of critical components, RCA & FMEA including PM/BD Ratio, MTBF, MTTR etc.

  • Must be committed to deliver the best of service possible in a timely manner.

  • Minimum qualification is Mechanical Graduate with minimum 20 years’ experience & preferably in the age group of 40 to 50 years and must have worked as Head Boiler maintenance.
