Company: Tier 1 Automotive Supplier, 

Position: Head HR Location: Chennai Reporting to : Plant Director   Roles and Responsibility: 

1.       Supervises a group of employees engaged in the administration of Salaried Personnel, Leadership Development, and Training Programs.

2.       Directs the administration for salaried personnel policies and procedures relating to recruiting and hiring, compensation studies, salary adjustments, reclassifications, transfers and terminations.

3.       Directs the training activity in the determination of training needs, the design, development and adaptation of course material and methods of instruction, and the presentation of course material.

4.       Maintains liaison with plant management and the Staff General Offices in coordinating Salaried Personnel, Leadership Development and Training Programs.

5.       Develops and maintains Leadership Development data necessary to provide Company management with an accurate evaluation of the performance and potential of current or prospective plant management Personnel.

6.       Conducts studies to evaluate the effectiveness of salaried personnel and training programs and prepares special and recurring reports and charts reflecting statistical data, organizational structure and program progress.

7.       Develop progressive employee relations policies and implement the same in the plant.

8.       Hands on experience in signing long term wage settlements.

9.       Create a conducive climate and maintain proper employee relations on the shop floor .

10.    Experience in Compensation benchmarking, talent assessment and succession planning.

11.    Expertise in statutory and legal compliances and coordination with Inspector of factories and govt authorities. 

 

Knowledge/Experince Required:

Education: MBA/MSW/PGDHRM/MHRM

Experince: 15-20 Years 

Should have experince in Plant/Factory, 

Should have experince in IR 

Shlould have experince in Wage Settlement 

 Working knowledge of key HR functions – comp, recruiting, labor relations,  security, training

Prior experience as a Salaried Personnel Supervisor or HR Planner

Demonstrated knowledge relevant employment laws

Knowledge and working understanding of computerized human resources and payroll systems.
