?The Incumbent will be responsible for heading the Retail, Institutional and Channel Partner Sales for the Solar business unit of the company.
Develop and Deploy Sales Strategy
- Develops short and long term sales strategy to support the financial targets laid out by Senior Management like Market capitalization, revenue targets, operating margin, etc.
- Manage the End-to-end sales-cycle from lead generation/ Prospect Management to Contract negotiation and signing, nurturing and relationship-building all the way through to close.
- Provides Market intelligence data to other decision-making stakeholders regarding Competition, consumer dynamics, Market trends, product performance, etc. to adjust sales and product design tactic and strategies
- Develop / expand new channels / consultants
- Identifies opportunities to cross and up sell products to existing Customers
- Develop & maintain productive business relationship with key decision makers across Channel Partners.
- Active Participation in Domestic and International Solar Power Industry Exhibitions & Trade Fairs along with the Marketing Team
- Plan and execute sales activities, develops pricing, terms, customer acquisition strategy etc. which support the established sales objectives and develop new opportunities for additional growth within the budget.
- Adapt sales best practices and implementing them across the sales team
- Create and execute sales promotions, SPIFs, and other sales programs
- Conducts Budgeting activities and develops Business plan in consultation with other Department heads and Senior Management members
- Provide regular forecasts and financial updates
- Assist in the preparation of goals and budgets; continuously monitor sales reports and operational records to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met and provide quarter-by-quarter sales forecasts.
- Helps in integration of contract requirements with business operations
- Ability to generate business case for sales and investments required
- Sign-up Industrial and commercial customers for Power Purchase agreements to sell solar power through Opex Model, Rooftop size sales ranging from 100 KW-1 MW range.
- Identify and sign-up channel partners to build a third party lead-generation and sales network
- Prospecting for and qualifying leads
- Analysis of customers' current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment
- Assess clients financial credit worthiness based on a set of pre-determined criteria
- Create quotes for customers and perform basic system design calculations
- Logging all communications with customers in contact database and Zoho CRM
Customer acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Manage high level conversations with corporate heads of companies, CTOs, CFOs, and other business leaders of target and prospect accounts
- First point of contact a new potential client will have with a business when they are seeking information on the products and services the Company provides. Builds long term, strategic relationships with customers, business decision makers, and industry stakeholders.
- Developing strong market knowledge of existing and potential clients and ensuring business growth

Developing High Performing Sales Team
- Builds, trains, develops and mentors the Sales team by setting high expectations and initiating individual member accountability. Regularly coaches Team members on Sales practices and skills to achieve and exceed targets and customer expectations.
- Evaluate performance of sales team members against the set targets through Talent Management and providing valuable feedback for improvement and plans their Development and Succession plan.

?Sales & Business Development


?- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or any other discipline from reputed institution (International or Domestic). Candidates with an MBA from a reputed college will be given preference.
- Experience working in Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Residential segments
- Experience requirements: Minimum overall sales exp. of 10-15 yrs with a minimum of 3-5 years in Solar Sales and approx.10 years exp. in management of a Sales team
- Possesses proven track record eg: sales achieved, market penetration, C-Sat scores, etc.
- Must be a strong leader, creative, & possess strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication skills and a confident personality
- Highly developed analytical skills
