Job Description
The IT Banking Project Coordinator will be responsible for handling various IT projects within the banking sector. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of banking operations, and experience in IT project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
2. Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates with project teams, clients, and senior management.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address any issues or concerns promptly.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare project documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, decisions, and changes.
- Provide regular updates to the IT Project Manager and other relevant parties.
4. Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on project risks, escalating issues as necessary.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all project activities comply with banking regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
6. Resource Management:
- Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, technology, and budgets.
- Track resource utilization and ensure efficient use of project resources.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the project management framework.
- Implement best practices and contribute to the development of project management methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project coordination or management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus
