?Our team is looking to add another smart Software Engineer (who will report to a Software Manager at IDC)
to our outstanding team to design and develop our current and next generation of laboratory software systems
current and next generation software platform. The team is responsible for a product that includes a UI,
database and embedded software, requiring you to know a lot of different technologies and concepts about the
system. The instrument is much more interesting to develop software for then just your typical software
application because you are working with the hardware of an instrument. The final, and definitely the most
important, part of the position is we work on a product where failure is not an option. People depend on our
product to make life saving decisions so we put in the effort and discipline upfront so we can sleep every night
knowing our customers, and ultimately patients, are getting a product you can trust your life with.
Responsibilities
? Create design, code and unit test modules/components.
? Develop software requirements from product requirements.
? Develop a thorough understanding of the requirements (both explicit and implicit) of the system under
development
? Investigate software, hardware, and system problems using a variety of techniques and provides innovative
solutions.
? Prepare appropriate documentation as required by internal product development processes and regulatory
agencies such as FDA and ISO.
