    Ensure compliance to Contract for the project scope

     

    Determine Project risks and potential deviations related to contract and address the same to ensure compliance

    • Participate in Contract review and ensure compliance to contract for design engineering scope during project execution
    • Identify and Mitigate risks related to design engineering execution throughout the project
    • Identify potential deviations/variations (VORs, TQs, NCRs) related to design engineering
    • Contribute in capturing design engineering related lessons learned for the project

    50% at the start of project 10% during main execution and

    Manage design engineering scope

     

    Manage engineering scope of assigned project meeting contract requirements with adequate quality

    • Technical point of contact for other external parties throughout project execution for design engineering related matters
    • Handle internal and external interfaces related to design engineering, evaluate and ensure implementation of the same
    • Contribute in generating the Master Document List (MDL) of design engineering deliverables
    • Participate in the design reviews with Client and other parties to ensure alignment of the design as per requirements.
    • Participate in PEM gate reviews and ensure design engineering check points are closed

     

     

    30% at project startup 20% in the main execution phase and 10% during close out

     

     

    Plan, Control and Monitor design engineering progress

     

    Monitor and control project progress as per schedule with desired quality

    • Contribute in identifying the design engineering resource need for project and manage it throughout the execution
    • Manage the design engineering team situated in various geographies and their KPIs for the project scope
    • Control day to day operations of design team members to address and resolve the operational issues
    • Monitor and control project design deliverables and ensure its alignment with procurement/ fabrication
    • Be a mentor to design team

     

    20% at project startup 50% in the main execution phase and 40% during close out

     

     

     

     

    Technical responsible for project procurement

    • Responsible as the technical point of contact for the design engineering scope
    • Responsible for Technical bid evaluation including handling exceptions and clarifications related to design scope
    • Participate in Project Procurement Meetings (PPM) and meetings with subcontractors to handle SMDL scope
    • Responsible for resolving supplier TQ, concessions and NCRs for design scope
    • Ensure completeness of supplier closeout documents related to design scope

     

     

     

    10% during main execution phase

     

     

     

     

    Technical responsible for design engineering scope for manufacturing / fabrication of the project scope

    • Technical responsible for design engineering scope related to manufacturing/ fabrication
    • Participate in periodic fabrication follow up meetings in order to resolve the issues related to design
    • Give necessary inputs for the SQs, NCRs, concession requests from fabrication for the design scope
    • Ensure HSE in design as well as notify project related HSE issues and improvement suggestions

    10% during main execution phase and 30% during testing and project

    Other Dimensions

    (Indication of some of the significant volumes associated with the job like number in team/ staff handled etc).

    • Responsible for leading 8 to 15 personnel team located at various geographies in project for typically 10 to 15 months duration
    • Geographies that include 3+ countries

    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Automobile) or Postgraduate in engineering (CAD/ CAM)

    • High level of independence and goal oriented systematic approach
    • Good leadership qualities and ability to maintain good rapport with all stakeholders
    • Detailed knowledge of subsea product portfolio and awareness of the related interfacing products
    • Good understanding of contractual documents and commercial awareness related to cost and schedule
    • Good understanding of design engineering related governing documents, company regulations and applicable codes/standards relevant to oil and gas industry

     

    Relevant and total years of Experience
    • Total work experience of 10+ years in design engineering for various domains (Industrial/Offshore/Subsea)
    • 4+ years of experience in leading design team in projects
    • 4+ years of exposure to manufacturing/fabrication
    • 2+ years of working experience in in design engineering related to Subsea/Offshore Oil & Gas industries
