You will be responsible for providing Subject Matter Expert support for Oracle / Redhat Linux and OVS (Oracle Virtual Server) Servers across multiple customers hosted Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Azure.
SME is responsible to ensure high availability for OVM/OLVM environment, provide technical leadership in all issues faced in environment, be advocate to client .
Ensure capacity available to meet client needs, release additional capacity to save costs.
Open for 24/7 support model and willingness to work in shifts.
Must Have
·Experience Supporting Linux Systems, especially RHEL/Oracle version 6, 7 and 8.
·Knowledge of Virtualization technologies like OVM, OLVM.
·Hands on knowledge managing storage and virtual networks in IBM Cloud, Azure, Oracle Cloud.
·Coordinating with cloud vendors to provision hardware.
·Knowledge of installing RHEL/OEL Servers from scratch.
·Knowledge of complex troubleshooting in RHEL/OEL environment.
·Hands on knowledge in setting up Oracle Virtualization environment using OEL 7, Hosted Engine, KVM host.
·Hands on experience on LVM, NFS, RAID, Samba, Cups, DNS, Postfix.
·Understanding of Network Bond / VLAN, Route setup.
·Hands on with restoring file system from backup.
·Good handson Knowledge on NAS and ISCSI Volumes and how to configure FS on them.
·Hands on with midlevel of automation with bash / perl / python.
·Knowledge of Patching related tools like Oracle Ksplice, Salt, Yum.
·Hands on with performance issue troubleshooting in OVM, OLVM environment.
·Antivirus setup in client environment.
·Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Oracle Enterprise Monitor.
·Open for 24/7 support model and willingness to work in shifts.
