Key Responsibilities & Job Content
a. Communicating effectively with Production Planner, Customer Services and Sales. Responding to their
b. Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate
inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material.
c. Ensuring safe Storage & movement of Material as per Storage Conditions with Cost effectiveness.
d. Direct, manage and coordinate logistics, warehouse( inbound and outbound), transportation and customer service
activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics and customer services.
e. Liaison with Local Customs & Central Excise Authorities upto Commissioner Level.
f. Coordination with SEZ authorities. Should be aware and well versed with SEZ documents.
g. Resolve any raising problem or complaints
h. Supervise, train warehouse, stores and logistic workforce.
i. Review, Analyse and Ensure Production Plan and Despatch Plan is met.
j. Minimizing Lead times and finding alternative measures for timely/cost effective deliverance of material.
k. Co-ordination with Production & Marketing to ensure Minimum/Maximum Stock levels of Materials and solvents
for uninterrupted operations & space Management.
l. Ensure proper accounting of material by Stock-taking & reconcilliation of material on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
m. Identify the Gaps with respect to Infrastructure & functioning of Departmental activities & ensure compliance with
the proper presentation/support of Management.
n. Maintain scrap yard and disposals of scraps, waste and recovered solvents etc. Inviting Quotations & preparing
o. Co-ordination for Pre-shipment/Post Shipment with Inspection Agencies, Shipping Agents, Custom House Agents,
CFAs, Bankers & internal agencies like production, Quality control, Marketing, Exports.
p. Scheduling the Transportation of finished goods and raw-materials dispatches, stock transfers, follow-up with
transporter for tracking the deliveries.
q. Co-ordination with Finance department for various accounting matter related to warehouse activities, like CENVAT
credit reconciliation, Excise duty reconciliation and payment, payments to service vendors, Service Tax payments &
cenvat credit.
