Duties & Responsibilities
Autonomous management for the Demand Planning portfolio within AMEA
region for a business unit (s) ; predominantly balancing Demand and Supply

with the focus on aligning unit and financial numbers and ensure product
supply
Close co-ordination with country supply chain planners to build AMEA regional
view of demand, build supply risk projections and mitigation plan for
backorders for constrained products
Drive AMEA BU S&OP; influencing stakeholders to support AMEA business
plan; manage Product Life Cycle phase-in, Phase-out ; event management ,
new launches
Challenge the markets on their excess inventory & obsolescence, inventory
holding strategies, responsible for the Franchise finished goods inventory for
specific Business Unit / Units along with local country supply chain leads
Actively develop the relationship with the Global supply chain team, supply
planners to build the required end to end supply chain knowledge and play an
active role in the allocation process in times of shortage.
Actively support EMEA regional marketing leads to support new product
launches and end of life activities. Extensively collaborate with AMEA BU
marketing leads , represent AMEA SC in BU franchise council meetings
Own, monitor and publish performance metrics & reports e.g. Business Unit
dashboard and status reports ( Refer KPIs )
Act as a SME for demand management tools ( IBP etc.) , bring in best
practices
Responsible for accurate SAP parameters within SG RDC, maintain / influence
inventory planning parameters, policies
Review current state processes; eliminate non-value-added activities; and
drive continuous improvement program (CI) in partnership with global
stakeholders
Support broader GEM special projects and markets on a need basis especially
related to Portfolio Optimization.Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the candidate will have:
Degree in Business management with Supply Chain Management/ MBA
At least more than 7+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, demand
Planning (preferably from 2012-14 batch of MBA| Post Graduation)
Ability to perform hands-on operational tasks in demand and supply planning with
a good strategic thinking
Ability to work independently on complex issues
A good financial acumen and project management skills
Must be able to adapt and understand typical Planning Systems; functional
knowledge of SAP ERP and IBP DP is highly desirable
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to partner with and
influence others without direct authority, build consensus and look for collaboration
with people from different departments and all levels.
Ability to work with senior stakeholders and run and lead regional (AMEA) S&OP
Ability to work with different time zones (Asia, Middle East and Africa ) , prior
experience in the regional role is a must
Strong strategic and tactical capabilities, knowledge of common SAP transactions
and reports
Advanced experience with Microsoft office applications (especially Excel)
Ability to work on tight deadlines and prioritize workload
Travel expectations around 10-15% (primarily within AMEA)
