Company: An electric vehicle manufacuting company 


Job Description:

The primary work experience revolves in the field of power electronics with experience in developing global automotive electronics products for electric vehicle market. Hands on experience around High-level ECU Requirements and infotainment system design. Detailed knowledge of design, testing and validation of the above along with electronics software framework knowledge. In-depth understanding vehicle level architecture in terms of ECU deployment.

Role expectations

  1. Design and develop electric power train topology and configuration for electric 3 wheeler / 4 wheeler.
  2. Create and analyse the Powertrain architecture, Component sizing and electrical models
  3. Product level system design including Electrical motor, Transmission, Motor control unit, mechanical hardware and software.
  4. Collaborate and work with mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, manufacturing and test teams.
  5. Vehicle level power train integration and tuning to optimise the vehicle performance in different modes.
  6. System level ECU integration, between the battery pack, motor controller and cluster.
  7. Design and implement CAN network management between various ECU.
  8. Lead testing team and vehicle integration team to meet vehicle requirements
  9. Define test cases and resolve field issues after product launch.

Electrical and Electronics:

  1. Experience in EV Powertrain development, Motor Design and controller algorithms.
  2. Knowledge on BLDC/PMSM/IPM motor design, motor control strategies, safety standards and quality standards.
  3. Knowledge in electrical/electronic components used in Motor, Motor Controller, HW design and development.
  4. Experience with high current power semiconductors (IGBT's, MOSFETs, Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.
  5. Experience in the selection and use of microcontrollers and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).
  6. Familiarity with DFMEA and DVP testing, preparing test cases, identifying and resolving issues related to power train.
  7. Knowledge in powertrain optimization techniques in an electric vehicle.
  8. Should possess knowledge in CAN network management implementation.



  • 7+ years of total relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automobiles Industry is mandatory
  • Proven experience in R&D of an automobile/Manufacturing setup is mandatory
