The key responsibilities of this role include overseeing the procurement of direct (pigments) and indirect (packaging material)raw materials, developing innovative procurement strategies, sourcing vendors domestically and internationally, monitoring supplier performance, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery, maintaining good relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners, standardizing inventory and work-in-progress processes, leading cost-saving initiatives, and possessing knowledge and experience in chemical industry procurement. Strong communication skills, some knowledge of specialty chemicals, and the ability to deliver at a managerial level are essential qualifications, while knowledge of the paint and coating manufacturing industry and SAP is desirable.
