    Title: NPD Test EngineerKey Responsibilities:
    • Develop a test case scenario, detailed test specification/test steps, test scripts, test execution and analysis, do defect reporting for the test requirements for VCU, BMS, DC-DC Converter, Charger or similar type of modules.
    • Define, plan, perform and evaluate the hardware tests to meet the design intent.
    • Define Test bench Architecture, select test equipment and work with vendors to build fixtures and tools.
    • Engineering Change Management of the hardware and software configuration of box build assemblies in accordance with standards to ensure smooth testing processes.
    • Responsible for delivery of the Functional Testers, In Circuit Testers, Flying Probe Test Benches as per the need of the project.
    • Responsible for meeting time, cost and quality targets in assigned projects.
    • Responsible for driving tester documentation - BOM, Spares, Equipment CTQs, SOPs, Training manuals, Process Flow, Tester FMEA, Factory acceptance Test Reports of the newly developed Test Bench.
    • Bring in thorough knowledge of NRE’s (exp. Equipment, BON Fixtures, Design & Development effort, Wiring etc) required for Equipment building. Also, ability to evaluate internal development compared with external partners according to the requirements.
    • Drive vendors discussions to convey Tester’s development requirements to arrive at Test Bench Architecture, reviewing designs and equipment building at vendor places.
    • Ability to predict/or forecast testing process cycle times and yield to meet the TAKT and OEE requirements.
    • Responsible for PCBA, Box Build debug, Harness debug analysis during proto build or in production.
    • Responsible for MSA (GR & R) to stabilize Testers and accomplish PPAP.
    • Understanding of vehicle communications protocol CAN, I2C software and functions.

    Ideal candidate would:

    • Bachelors in Electrical or Electronics with 8yrs experience.
    • Experience in Testing and industrialization of Embedded Hardware Systems, Battery Management system, DC-DC converter, Telematics system, AC Charger or similar products.
    • Experience in Test Automation using LabView, design of test Jigs and fixtures for functional testing of PCBA, Box Builds and Harness.
    • Experience in DFT analysis, Test coverage for ICT & Functional test, Test Plans and use PCB Gerber/ODB++ files for review.
    • Experience in Equipment FMEA for Test benches, Report Generation, porting to company server for live yield monitoring.
    • Experience in handling hardware modules with 4G, GNSS, WI-FI, BT Wireless, RS232, RS485, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, UDS, CAN Communication Protocols for testing
    • MSA, Gage R&R and Calibration practices
