Job Description for Vacancy in Welding Business

1.       Position One - To be located within the technical team, 3-5 years of experience, reporting to GM – Technical who would have knowledge of development, manufacture, QA & testing and application of welding products in the fabrication industry. Knowledge of welding application in fabrication is important, as presently we do not have this competency within the technical team, and it is essential for approval of products both at OEMs and Statutory approvals.

Functions:

  • Development & testing of welding products for MMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW & GTAW processes.
  • Guide and advise on factory production of electrodes and MIG wire at EPAs.
  • Quality Assurance of products at EPAs, their testing & certification
  • Approval of products with OEMS & BIS, IBR, RDSO, IRS etc.
  • Co-ordination with I EPA, CSM, Purchase & M&S teams and EPAs for assistance in drawing up and monitoring monthly plans and raw material availability.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of MMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW & GTAW processes including their practical application in fabrication.
  • Knowledge of MMAW & MIG wire production technology.
  • Some knowledge of electrode formulation desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of raw materials used for above manufacture and their testing.
  • Knowledge of various Codes & Standards for testing of Welding consumables.
  • Preferably with experience in SAP

P0sition 2 -  To be part of the M&S team with 3-5 years of experience and proven track record of selling welding products to OEMs as well as the retail market. This should be a Manager level appointment reporting to DGM – M&S.

Functions:

  • Responsible for meeting organizational sales targets within specified industry / area segments
  • Developing sales of electrodes & MIG wire specially with OEMs and non – TATA customers in industry segments like Power plant, Transportation including Auto & Railways, Repairs & Maintenance.
  • Travelling for customer visits for at least 2 weeks a month.
  • Able to guide a sales team with respect to welding products selling process and strategies.

Competencies:

  • Experience in sales of welding products with one of the leading competitor companies.
  • Good knowledge of welding products market and players pan India.
  • Sound knowledge of the various welding processes, products and their application.
  • Flair for sales and marketing with proven track record of sales generated and targets met.
  • Ability to handle retailers, dealers and customers for sales development and sustenance.
