**Academic** : Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) inProcurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce,Economics, or related field.**Experience:** 12-15 years of direct management experience in supply chainoperations, Planning, Logistic, 3PL management and Procurement. 3 to 5 years of experience in leading others.**Job Responsibilities:** * Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers * Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance * Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance. * Interpret trends and analyse and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organisation to aid sales, customer service and cost improvements * Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports * Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure physical inventory and system inventory are in agreement * Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows * Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving. * Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, contractors, performance evaluation and risk assessment * Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, quality management, customer relationship management and performance measurement * Design or implement plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products * Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of raw materials or products. * Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues * Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers. * Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency. * Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities**Key Skills / Attributes:** * Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment * Results and solutions focused * Understands market dynamics as well as the legal and regulatory landscape * Confident, articulate and able to influence at all levels with exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills * Strong working knowledge of supply chain management principles, ERP & WMS * Senior level supply chain and logistics experience with a track record of operational service level and efficiency improvement * Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects within timeline and budgetary constraint across functional areas. * Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment. * Broad knowledge of Financial Accounting like P&L, Balance Sheet, ROI.**People Management:** * Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements * Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports * Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required**Relationship Management:** * Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process * Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements * Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes**Requisite Skills:** * Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred * Prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain within the medical equipment manufacturing environment with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures such as inbound materials management; detailed production planning; material handling; impact of stock levels on working capital; trade-offs within Supply Chain; LEAN principles and Value Stream Processes; Safety, Health and Environment; Quality principles; regulations/ Best Practices * Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations * Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including knowledge and understanding of specialist systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Warehouse Management System * Advanced Excel user * Ability to analyse and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information
