Job Purpose
This incumbent is the Company's Airports’ Pavement Design Engineer with expertise in Airside Pavement design management from concept design till as-built stages of the project phase in alignment to the Master Plan phasing and Operational requirements
Functional Competencies
- Overall years of experience shall be minimum 6 years; minimum 3 recent years in Airports & rest in large scale infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in pavement design, analysis and decision making is a must to have
- Greenfield project development experience in Airports is a must to have
- Capable of reviewing, preparing (as required) and managing the pavement design of Airside projects independently
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Adaptation to the Company's growing Airport’s business portfolio & its dynamics
- Should be familiar with application of design software’s like AutoCAD, Revit etc.
Key Accountabilities
- The primary responsibility is to lead, manage and accomplish the disciplined application of the pavement design in the Airside projects
- Checking and preparing (as required) to ensure that all the pavement design deliverables meet the requirements as per applicable codes and standards
- Airside Grading
- Airside Pavement plans
- Pavement cross sections and
- Typical construction details
- Airfield pavement construction specifications
- To investigate any airside pavement and analysis/interpretation of factual data
- To study and interpret the geotechnical investigation studies/reports for pavement design and analysis/interpretation of factual data
- Communicating and coordinating all the technicalities with the manager as well as counterparts in the team
- Taking responsibility for their own work and producing higher quality technical output
- Prepare and Maintain Weekly and Monthly reports
- Prepare and Maintain Planning & Design Action List for each meeting
- Prepare and Maintain Chronology reports with respect to revisions and allied changes
- Prepare and Maintain Trackers for Correspondence & RFIs, Monitor the flow of information and maintain a record of planning & design related changes/value additions, their impacts and delivery schedules for said changes
- Maintain folder integrity in the established format. Document and maintain the Project folder which shall encompass all information, correspondence, drawings etc.
