JOB TITLE: Assistant /Deputy Manager – Payroll & Compliance

JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for processing and managing payroll, time and attendance and statutory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to details and the ability to handle the payroll and compliance matters.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration, such as provident fund, ESI and Insurance.
·Process payroll data including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary change and other employee status changes in the SAP system.
·Collect and review timekeeping and attendance records using the time management software.
·Ensure all Time and Attendance system is configured correctly and maintained.
·Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
·Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while processing payroll.
·Preparing payroll reports, including income tax returns and provident fund filling.
·Conducting regular payroll audits and ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
·Maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves and personal information.
·Collaborating within the HR Dept and finance departments to seamlessly integrate payroll and reconciliation of payroll data.
·Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
·Work with vendor for statutory payment like PF, ESI, LWF etc.
·Administer and maintain payroll systems, ensure data integrity, and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
·Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
·Stay updated on payroll regulations, statutory & tax laws, implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
MBA in HR or MSW with 9 to 12 Years of experience in HR (Payroll and compliance).
·Experience in payroll processing including TDS and income tax provisions.
·Proficiency in payroll software – SAP / HRIS and MS Excel) (Preferred).
·Familiarity with time and attendance systems.
·Familiarity with payroll-related aspects of Indian labour laws, such as the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Act, the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Act and the Professional Tax Act.
·Ability to adapt to changing payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.
