?Solution design and system level thinking:

� Demonstrates understanding of the complexity and risks involved in building high volume products and systems while anticipating integration issues from design through manufacturing

� Develops detailed solutions based on specifications while balancing multiple variables to test and verify designs that meet the marketing team�s spoken and unspoken needs.

� Solves complex technical problems with precision, differentiating symptoms from root cause, utilizing all available tools, methods and resources and persisting in the face of obstacles

� Ensures designed and developed products conform to standards and specifications.

Project planning and execution:

� Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of dependencies, deploying successful mitigation strategies in order to effectively manage project plans, budgets and schedules.

� Establishes realistic commitments and influences all parties to meet commitments with frequent, consistent follow-up conversations.

� Follows through on commitments, and openly and proactively communicates when commitments will not be met.

� Inspires accountability in achieving desired results, and paves way for subsequent learning

� Good understanding of commitment-based management, agile techniques, team foundation server and/or VSTS skills is a plus

?PCB tools such as OrCAD, Altium, Mentor graphics etc, Hardware Design and Verification, PCB Design


?� Very strong details-oriented person

� Demonstrable success in initiating, guiding, and coordinating a team through various hardware test and verification phases

� 2 � 3 successful projects in high volume, long life, low power, rugged applications.

� Working experience with schematic and PCB tools such as OrCAD, Altium, Mentor graphics etc.

� Demonstrated knowledge of various IPC standards for PCB design and manufacture

� Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal analyzers, soldering and de-soldering, reflow equipment

� Experience with the effects of humidity, noise, temperature, ETS, RF etc. on low power electronics, and understanding how to test and measure this.

� Understanding of environmental effects (temperature rise, fretting, dendritic growth, solder stresses, etc.)

� Common sense approach to understanding the use case, and building a comprehensive test to identify weak links.

� HALT/HAST test understanding, and when to use these techniques.

� Good understanding of standards and regulations (IEC/UL/CSA/EN etc.) is important.

� Concise communications and reporting skills.

� Proponent of automated test, and experience with the development of such tools.

� Systematic approach to FMEA and how to conduct effective measurements.

� LabView/Python understanding for test automation.

Works with manager and marketing teams to break down complex product requirements into simple blocks and specifications

� Understands RF, low power design, embedded systems, ASICs, SOCs, microprocessor and microcontrollers, analog and mixed signal circuit design, power electronics, switching and linear supplies, sensor interfaces, battery operated device design

� Should be able to manage a hardware design team and collaborate with Industrial design teams

� Experience in cellular, IoT, mesh technologies a plus.
