KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
·Maximise commercial advantage by leading the development of effective sourcing and contracting strategies to ensure the efficient achievement of project goals.
·Minimise commercial risk through the implementation of robust contractual terms, while reducing the total cost of acquisition and ownership.
·Execute and manage all market engagement such as Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) to meet project goals (ESG, schedule/timing, quality and TCO) for assigned projects.
·Lead the negotiation process and contract administration of all elements of projects.
·Ensure the implementation of contracts, performance management and supplier relationship management for projects.
·Lead the resolution of commercial issues associated with supplier performance at project level.
·Provide guidance and leadership to projects to ensure strategies developed for sourcing packages within projects is aligned with the overall strategy.
·Identify and execute opportunities for procurement cost reduction and supplier performance improvement, including alternative suppliers and products, renegotiating contracts to account for market changes, and working in conjunction with appropriate functional areas as needed.
·Management and negotiation of current contract portfolio and implementation of new sourcing initiatives.
·Assist in the development of long-range sourcing strategies for assigned projects or commodities.
·Become subject matter expert in the supply market for assigned areas. Advise current and future market trends.
·Use supplier and market data to incorporate business unit requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and optimise competitive position.
·Lead sourcing activities, supplier selection, supplier negotiations, and create and monitor supplier agreements.
·Research and identify potential suppliers
·Identify, implement and manage supplier relationships to support business unit requirements.
·Analyse spend portfolio and determine overall procurement approach for assigned areas based on magnitude of spend, strategic importance and opportunity for value delivery.
·Master the contracting process (negotiation, contract preparation and administration), tactical and transactional activity for assigned areas, working with legal.
·Deliver commercially sound supplier contracts that meet business unit technology, quality and cost goals that provide optimum protection of company assets.
·Interfaces with strategic suppliers and business units to identify opportunities to reduce costs, standardize goods or services, adapt new supplier technologies, solve problems involving pricing or supplier performance.

·Deliver and track quantifiable financial benefits and value creation proportionate to the spend.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
·A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business or equivalent in an Engineering or Construction related field is required.
·10 years’ experience in providing procurement and contract management services within capital projects in the food sector, and with large construction projects.
·Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
·Collaboration with a drive for achievement and commitment to ethical and high quality work practise.
·Strong Procurement, supply chain management, contract management expertise
·Capital resourcing at both local and global markets
·Extensive knowledge on import regulations in India and global export norms
