?Procurement Plan and Strategy

- Have a clear annual Purchase plan in place with objectives and priorities agreed in the budget period for the projects.
- Provide the Project Team with (supply market) knowledge and sourcing strategies, differentiating the procurement function, ultimately helping to create a competitive edge for the business.
- Become a true business partner for the business by early involvement in sourcing processes
- Creating high performance procurement through innovative sourcing strategy development and optimized supplier selection and management.

Strategic Sourcing

- Supply market analysis with the objective to create a sourcing strategy to develop and maintain the best value at the minimal total cost of ownership
- Supplier assessment and Negotiation preparation, to select suppliers that can deliver the required value while minimizing the total cost of ownership and/or minimizing the risks
- Negotiation and implementation, to negotiate a contract with the qualified suppliers and to plan implementation in order to realize the negotiated value at minimal total cost of ownership.
- Total cost of ownership (TCO), incl. operating working capital (OWC) and risk management
- Agree on best possible prices and conditions for required goods and services so that best value for money is guaranteed.

Contract Management

- To ensure transparency, trace-ability and auditability
- Properly authorized contracts and commitments to be registered in the standard systems by the contract manager

Supplier Management

- Identify and Establish new relationship with suppliers. Manage relationship with suppliers.
- To ensure efficient execution of contracts (supplier commitments & BU commitments)
- Effective vendor and material approval process in place and look for continuous improvement opportunities in supplier performance and TCO.
- Continuously track supplier performance in accordance with supplier evaluation and audit policies. Annually plan audits for selected suppliers and oversee these audits are executed together with the auditing teams.
- Lead supplier development activities; set up cross-functional review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce cost.

Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions

- Assures knowledge on and application of the Sourcing and Procurement policies, procedures and work instructions as applicable in the organization and requirements as far as applicable to the function
