      Roles and Responsibility: Understand the product / system requirements and architecture designs Prepare software requirements and design specification using UML Software implementation using C and assembly language based on design patterns Develop software in test driven approach Ensure software implementation meets software design expectations Contribution to software requirements and design specification reviews Software development for firmware / middleware / application Execute software unit testing as and when required Debug and solve technical problems Meeting the quality procedure as per Automotive standards Support project owner on task estimation and planning Academics and experience:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or computer engineering Knowledge of current standards in use (ISO, SAE)Interest in Automotive or transportation technologies. Should have 4 to 9 years of experience in embedded software development Strong in C, assembly programming Experience in preparing software requirements and design specification Experience in using tools like IBM DOORS or MKS-PTC or Enterprise Architect, SVN, JIRA Experience on 8/16/32-bit micro-controllers / processors and their architecture Experience in different communication protocol like CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C Understanding the hardware design and related requirement and schematics Experience in firmware / middleware development for 16/32-bit processors Experience of using debuggers, test equipment like DSO, function generator and tools like CANalyzer, CANOe, Vectorcast Experience in using scripting language like PERL, CAPL, Python Knowledge in RTOS and non-RTOS based software development Experience in workflow for SDLC, V-model Should have knowledge on software testing Analytical, problem solving and debugging skills Creative and innovative Should be a good team player Good knowledge of functional safety for automotive domain
