With a current staff strength of more than 5,500 (Five thousand five hundred), the Company is a leader in the health insurance services space, with 3 distinct business verticals, being the Corporate Mediclaim Vertical (GMC), wherein we currently service the employee mediclaim and wellness needs of more than 14,900 corporates. We are a longstanding leader in the second vertical which deals with the implementation and downstream management of all Public Health Insurance and Wellness Programs for various State Governments and the Central Govt. across India. We have the largest footprint and the largest presence in India in this second vertical and amongst many others are also tasked with the implementation of the PMJAY across various States in India. The third vertical is the Retail Mediclaim Vertical. 


With a staff strength of more than 1600 at our HO in Pune and the balance about 5600 spread across more than 152 Regional, Branch, Project and Satellite offices across the Country, we service more than 16 Crore customers/beneficiaries and in doing so are well entrenched through an array of business agreements with all the Govt. PSU Insurance Companies and a few Private ones and have an empanelled network of more than 10,700/- Hospitals across the Country.

  • The incumbent must be from an Insurance Broking background with in-depth experience of Health Insurance GMC Sales. An experience of about 5 to 10 years in both these areas is required.

  • Must have experience of acquiring Corporate Mediclaim Business/Employee Benefits Business for a min. 5 years in the particular/respective location (Pune, Mumbai, Gujarat).

  • Should have good relations with the senior mgt. of Govt. PSU Insurance Companies (UIIC, NIA, OIC, NIC, etc.) in the respective location.    


A senior level position to head the BD Team of Pune/ Mumbai/ Gujarat. Leading the Business Development vertical which is crucial to the revenue growth.


The Job holder will be suitably experienced in the stated role and will develop Corporate & Retail business in the said Market. Good communication skills, new business acquisition, client retention, identifying new opportunities for growth, stepping ahead of competition, revenue focus and all matters related thereto form the essence of this role. The incumbent should also be a strong leader, an effective guide and a good team player. He should be culturally aligned to the TPA & Insurance Industry, well knowing its challenges and nuances and very well networked in the health/insurance industry with a proven BD record. 


This role reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Company.

  • Leading the Business Development Vertical by strategizing & improving growth for the said vertical

Job Description

  • Delivery within the expected timelines, the targeted market growth and revenue growth.

  • Should have relevant experience of Corporate sales with well-established market contacts at various Corporate Houses, Insurance Companies and Brokers.

  • Proven track record of improving topline & bottom line growth along with market share & CSAT.  

  • Should be well-versed with the Corporate, Insurance & Broker landscape in the area of operation.

  • Should have a proven ability to generate leads & convert these into business opportunities.

  • Should have proven relationship building, selling and conversion skills with excellent communication & presentation skills.

  • Should be professional & presentable with an ability to make a deep & meaningful impact.

  • Should have the ability to understand customer needs & fulfill these through solution building.

  • Should have a deep understanding of the market, competitive and health insurance product & solutions landscape (must be a SME in these areas). 

  • Responsible for developing the corporate & retail customer base 

  • Map the territory for potential corporate & retail customers

  • Establish Contacts with key persons at various corporates, IC’s & brokers and understand the current levels of Health Insurance services and needs

  • Present the services provided along with (best fit) solutions.

  • Develop strong relationships with Insurance Companies, Brokers & related business entities. 

  • Proper handover of the customer to the branch/operations.

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers

  • Should be able to develop & maintain good relationships & communicate well with the CXO staff at various corporates, IC’s & brokers.

  • Maintain proper MIS & Internal reports to the management

  • Build and develop performing business development teams across the Region.

  • Strong leadership & result orientation.

  • Networking, communication, negotiation and relationship management.

  • Good networking capabilities with strong existing contacts across corporates, IC’s, brokers & in the overall health/insurance industry/ecosystem.

  • Willing to travel throughout the specified region & various other cities.

  • Creating presentations on targets, impact measurement, goals and designated MIS’s for the entire team for regular reviews with senior management. 



  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.

  • Excellent relationship management, written, oral, communication and presentation skills. 

  • Good planning and organization skills. 


  • Any Graduate

  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.


  • Current salary must be around Rs. 30 lakhs per annum and we will offer a hike depending on the incumbent’s suitability/our discussions.
