?- Learn and Begin Facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Collect Data to Calculate OEE on Critical Assets � Identifying Speed, Quality, and Operational Losses
- Assess and Understand the Maturity of the Companys Reliability Effort
- Become a Certified RCM Facilitator
- Develop a Bad Actors List from CMMS Data
- Work with Maintenance Technicians to Identify and Resolve Rotating Equipment Issues
- Become at Least Level 1 Certified in 4 Major Predictive Maintenance (Pd.M.) Technologies
- Lubrication Engineering
- Risk Management: Another role of the reliability engineer is to manage risk to the achievement of an organizations strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality and production. Some tools used by a reliability engineer to identify and reduce risk include:
- PHA � Preliminary hazards analysis
- FMEA � Failure modes and effects analysis
