The objectives of Supply Chain Manager is to plan, manage and coordinate all activities related to driving the Supply Chain activities encompassing S&OP Process, management of warehousing & logistics, finished product inventory, freight, and service in the optimum level and most efficient manner.


Ensure customer satisfaction by fulfilling orders on time in full quantity. She / he represent India for the global products demand forecasting and organizing the supplies.

Main Tasks

  1. Drive S&OP processes for the OpCo


    1. Drive an effective S&OP process for the country in close coordination with Sales, manufacturing and procurement teams to support growth plans well
    2. Plan for sourcing of Global Products; comply with the calendar time lines for supplying forecasting information to global teams.
    3. Learn the usage of Demand Planning Tool and effectively deploy the tool to run S&OP process
    4. Learn the Tenders business well and support forecasting process well


Essential to have understanding and exposure of working in an ERP based environment to perform Sales Forecasting, Production Planning and overall coordination with the Sales Team for timely product delivery.




  1. Warehousing and Logistics


    1. Efficiently manage the warehousing and logistics operations in the country
    2. Lead development of Warehousing and Logistics strategies to drive better service levels to customers in the OpCo
    3. Manage the warehouse within plant and external to the plant well
    4. Work closely with the Operations Manager & OpCo GM to identify competent transport / logistics partners for cost optimization and improvement of service levels
    5. Evaluate and adapt latest / emerging technologies to make the order servicing more efficient and enabling supply networks to penetrate deep into all nooks & corners of the country


  1. Import / Export


    1. Responsible for importing global products. Should be capable to manage all processes end to end for both importing of products, as well as exporting local production to nearby countries.
    2. Liaise with Regulatory teams to facilitate documentation.


  1. Close coordination with key functions of the OpCo
    1. Responsible for collaborating with other Business functions to develop and continuously improve the overall supply chain effectiveness.
    2. Help to streamline the SC processes in the OpCo
    3. Material planners for a well-coordinated effort on RM/PM planning.
    4. Sales teams & sales leaders to forecast sales well – plan for seasonality in demand
    5. Production teams – for scheduling, sequencing production and factor in any manufacturing challenges from time to time


  1. Deliver SC KPIs – logistics cost, OTIF, Forecast Accuracy, etc


    1. Closely monitor the key deliverables at the OpCo with respect to the SC KPI targets – inbound / outbound logistics cost, Forecast Accuracy, OTIF, Finished Product Days Inventory on-hand, etc.,
    2. Drive to improve efficiencies and service levels, reduce wastage and optimize cost
    3. Keep a check on RM/PM & FG expiries and present to the GM during monthly review meetings
    4. Prepare monthly analytics and report to Operations Manager, OpCo GM and Regional Operations Director


  1. Health Safety and Environment


    1. Implement corporate safety standards in handling of trucks, material handling at plants.
    2. Enforce strict safety controls on forklift truck operations at plant and warehouses.
    3. Ensure reporting of all incidents and participate in corrective actions
    4. Support training to all SC associates in HSE matters.
    5. Work to implement 5S standards and good housekeeping in the warehouses



Bachelor Degree in Engineering + MBA operations



Work Experience

7-8 years in Supply Chain. Hands on experience with S&OP (demand forecasting) processes is a must.

Knowledge of Importation is highly desirable


Ideally should possess Customer Service Experience.


Knowledge of Importation Procedures is preferred (Asean - EU)
