Senior Fashion Designer
Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Fashion Forecasting
- Analyse the market and monitor current fashion trends, collections, customer preferences and competitor activities.
- Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age, gender, and socioeconomic status.

- Forecast fashion for the season and give guidelines to the stakeholders in design team.
2) Apparel Design
- Plan and create new designs post getting concept guidelines from creative head for look of the season/special collection/events etc
- Set clearly defined guidelines and plan the design range as per sales budget.
- Ensure designs are at par with the current market trends and in line with brand philosophy.
- Ensure precise designs are offered to maintain high design success rate and achieve targets.
- Coordinate with Fabric Department, Pattern makers, Tailors, cutting masters etc for sample making and end to end coordination for final production.
- Provide creative direction to the brand by conceptualizing and developing range for different season.
- Ensure desirable level of design approval ratio and give regular feedback to make clear decisions on the design range.
3) Innovation
- Ensure seasonal freshness of the collections in tune with international benchmarks and trends to drive brand as an innovative fashion leader.
- Promote new products, concepts, designs, systems and out of the box thinking for product innovations and processes.
4) Market Research
- Analyse the market and monitor current fashion trends, collections, customer preferences and competitor activities for fashion forecasting and give broad direction to individual brands
- Create themes for different seasons and provide the seasons theme brief to the stakeholders
5) Adherence to design calendar & SOP and maintaining OTIF
- Monitor the activities of the design team to ensure delivery of designs as per design calendar. Job Requirement:
a) Overall Experience: 4+ years of experience in Fashion Design.
b) Industry Experience: Experience in design of Men’s/Kids Casual wear
c) Educational Qualification: Fashion Institution Degree. NIFT/NID etc
d) Behavioural Skills Required: Good aesthetic sense, effective Communication skills, well organized and collaborative.
e) Technical Skills Required: Well-versed with adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator/Coral draw, Innovative,
