As the Senior IT Security Engineer for Vulnerability Management at Cloud Software
Group, you'll have the opportunity to work with teams who use a wide range of
technologies.
Your work will be a mix of strategic projects and advising teams. In a given week, you
may be asked to evaluate a new tool, review an existing system, make risk based
recommendations, follow-up on the remediation of existing control challenges and
answer a team's question about mitigating a security issue they've discovered.
Throughout these day-to-day duties, you will drive our strategy to improve the security
of our systems.
The Senior IT Security Engineer for Vulnerability Management will:
● Work with various business partners, technology teams and security functions to
report on vulnerabilities and promote timely remediation.
● Work with a small group of globally dispersed professionals in the Vulnerability
Management team.2● Track system vulnerabilities and encourage patching progress.
● Coordinate, track and report on internal mitigation efforts.
● Improve reporting and dashboards incorporating various scanning tool data.
● Create management reports, processes, graphs and dashboards for executive
management. Report compliance status to executive management and oversight
committees.
● Identify, isolate and remove obsolete systems
● Identify automation opportunities
● Define strategic direction for Vulnerability Management
● Complete scanning migration to the cloud environment
● Stay current with emerging threats and solutions
● Identify security issues and track them through remediation.
● Provide technical, operationally feasible, risk-based recommendations.
● Lead technical security projects and be a team player who helps coordinate
activities to ensure task completion.
● Positively support various team members. Collaborate with several people at all
levels of the organization. Assist whenever possible.
● Report directly to the Senior Director of IT Security.

Requirements/Experience/Skills
● 5+ years of experience in security areas such as Vulnerability and Patch
Management, IT security, corporate security, network security, IT security
administration, IT audit, or risk management.
● Solid understanding of security and technical concepts. Remains current on the
latest security tools, principles and practices and in the industry.
● Have a growth mindset. Willing to learn new technologies and apply security
best practices.
● Positive, supportive attitude and excellent organizational skills.
● Welcomes the ability to independently solve problems. Display initiative, ability
and accountability to execute engagements requiring minimal direction.
● Demonstrated professional communication skills. Strong negotiation skills -
ability to influence decisions and guide behavior.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computers or equivalent industry experience.3Nice-to-Haves
● Experience with Qualys
● Security and technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CCSP,
CCNA, CCNP, Network+
● Experience with various cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and/or
Amazon Web Services (AWS).
● Experience in programming, coding, or API integrations, such as: C#, Python,
PowerShell, PowerBI.
