Job Description: Senior Logistics Manager
Location: Mumbai HO
Experience Required: 7–10 years in logistics and supply chain operations, preferably in FMCG or food & beverage sectors
Role Purpose
To lead logistics operations for the Ice Cream business, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution. This role is critical to maintaining service levels, optimizing costs, and driving operational excellence across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including inbound and outbound transportation.

- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products across regions.
- Monitor and improve logistics KPIs such as OTIF, freight cost per unit, and delivery lead times.
2. Warehousing & Inventory Control
- Manage warehousing operations including cold chain compliance for ice cream products.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and inventory accuracy.
- Lead initiatives to reduce wastage, damages, and improve stock rotation.
3. Transportation & Distribution
- Develop and manage transportation strategies including route optimization and carrier management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with 3PL partners to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead a team of logistics executives and warehouse staff.
- Collaborate with supply planning, customer service, and sales teams to ensure alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement and capability building within the logistics team.
5. System & Process Excellence
- Champion digital tools and automation in logistics (e.g., TMS, WMS, SAP).
- Support ERP transformation initiatives and data-driven decision making.
- Ensure robust documentation and SOP adherence across logistics functions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7–10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and FMCG distribution models.
- Proficiency in SAP, TMS, WMS, and analytics tools like Power BI.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Educational background in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management.
