**Job Description** **Position: ** **Senior System Engineer ****End User Operations Team** **Modified Date: ** **April 2021** Page Break**Job Location** Chennai, India ** ****Work Experience** 4 - 8 years of experience**Qualifications** BE/ B.TECH/ ME/M.TECH/ MCA, MSc IT/CS, **Reporting to** Team Lead **Shift schedule** Rotational Shift**_JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_** ** ** * Provide technical services and support for the following areas: * Network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security * Internal systems, Cloud (Azure) and network infrastructure. * Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, O365 & Exchange, SQL, SharePoint * Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V * Remote access solution support: VPN, Microsoft RDS farm, and Azure VDI * Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications * Communication with Users: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, updating support tickets during each step. * Perform network assessments and assist with security audits * Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review, bringing in automation where possible. * Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure * Mastering Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Deployment, Delivery, and Monitoring using DevOps tools * Be available for other engineers as an escalation point and coaching them through difficult issues to resolution * identify new products and solutions, that improve the business. * Work alongside the team in patching, testing and builds. * Post-tests for compatibility issues * Working with QA to ensure service is as expected. * Deploying complex systems, with documentation and training. * Identifying business requirements and ensuring those are met. * Performing storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations. * Performing software and operating system upgrades, ensuring system licensing is applied correctly. * Knowledge of ITIL, ISMS will be an added advantage. ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial, Experience with Microsoft Azure , Ivanti is preferred for senior role, CCNA or MCSA certification is required.. * With excellent communication skills, they should be able to walk customers through problems, helping remotely when required for a variety of software and hardware issues. * * Experience working with some of the following monitoring tools, System Centre Operations Manager, Prometheus, Graphana and Azure monitoring. * Experience with PowerShell and creating scripts for us in Microsoft Office 365, Azure and on-premise. * Extensive experience in MDM - Modern device Management, MAM - Mobile Application Management, Microsoft 365 (Intune, Windows Autopilot…etc) and Patch management. **COMPANY PROFILE:** As part of a multibillion-pound equity business owned by HG Capital, FE
