·Engage and build relationships with key stakeholders to deploy Splunk Observability
·Define, document, and publish technical standards for Splunk Observability metrics, logging, and distributed domain tracing.
·Define and publish property, dimension, span tagging, and API tagging for Splunk Observability standards.
·Build and maintain GitHub repository to support OptumRx rollout
·Open and escalate support cases with Splunk Observability on issues
·Provide day-to-day support on maintaining OptumRx Splunk Observability implementation (automated reports, alerts, dashboards)
·Be on-call for OptumRx War Room support Splunk Observability expertise needed to perform analysis and custom alerting or dashboards as needed
·Develop and deploy monitoring for ensuring OptumRx applications reliability and stability (Infrastructure; Log Observability, Microservices APM, Real User Monitoring, and Synthetic)
·Develop reports for OptumRx applications as requested to support Peak Season
·Identify opportunities for application teams to customize information providing optimal business views
·Ensure Splunk Observability open telemetry is up and running on all the identified OptumRx Application servers
·Work with Splunk Observability support to resolve any issues as needed to support OptumRx applications.
·Thoroughly document any procedures to support Splunk Observability deployments for OptumRx
·Write scripts to automate Splunk Observability reporting as needed
·Provide explanation and information to others on difficult issues
·Identify / quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
·Maintain awareness of current monitoring technology and the applicability and capability of each
·3+ years hands-on experience in Splunk Observability
·5+ years’ hands-on experience in Splunk
·2+ years Public Cloud (Azure) Experience
