sr. buyer, purchasing (offhsore) in hyderabad

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

- Own select catalogs and work with end users to determine optimal mix of goods for catalog vs. off catalog purchases
- Works with vendors to negotiate costs of goods and drive betterment of pricing
- Works with Business units on purchasing initiatives, and agree on business goals and key requirements.
- Identifies and pursues Company's demand management opportunities to increase productivity and drive new efficiencies
- Works with Accounts Payable to optimize the procure-to-pay process, ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, increase the volume of payment terms discounts received/taken, and support management and accuracy of the Vendor Master File
- Conducts successful supplier negotiations focused on total cost and ensures all business terms are clearly outlined in any end agreements with vendors
- Proactively evaluates supplies, services, and equipment usage trends and recommend operational process improvements.
o Ensures pricing is accurate and consistent
o Ensures pricing is established at the appropriate negotiated tier level
o Ensures negotiated discount percentages are reflected in the pricing structure
- Ensures correct rebates and/or commissions are received in a timely fashion
- Develops plans to support change management initiatives
- Develops strong supplier partnership and development programs. Conducts quarterly business reviews, measures performance through scorecards, and ensures new value is created year-over-year
- Conducts successful supplier negotiations focused on total cost and ensures all business terms are clearly outlined in any end agreements with vendors.

Leadership and Management:
- Establishes and creates department training and development programs
- Assists Manager of Purchasing in developing Company's procurement transformation roadmap

- Develops, communicates, and actively manages departmental goals and strategies with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ensures integrity of work done, following vision, mission, and values.
- Develops strong relationships with all stakeholders including IT, Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, and Facilities

Minimum Educational Level:

- BA/BS or equivalent degree in finance, accounting, supply chain or other business field (Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics)
- CPM, CIRM or CPIM certification a plus

Minimum Experience:

- 6 plus years experience in purchasing, procurement and or, business related function
- Knowledge and experience in Indirect Procurement, Operations, Financial Analysis is preferred
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment
